“Just for the Holiday of It” Promotion Parameters

1. Eligibility: The Just for the Holiday of It Promotion is open to existing Montana Lottery Player's Club members only. Entries will be accepted from December 1, 2025, at 12:01 AM MT to January 5, 2026, at 11:59:59 PM MT with the drawings held on December 8, December 15, December 22 and January 6.

2. Entry Process: Entries for the Just for the Holiday of It Promotion consist of all winning and non-winning Scratch, Lotto and Treasure Play tickets. All eligible tickets must be submitted by the participants themselves. Entries not submitted by the deadline of each drawing date will be excluded from the drawing.

3. Entry Details: The Just for the Holiday of It Promotion will feature three $5,000 drawings with a $20,000 grand prize drawing:

   • Dec. 8 - $5,000 (Entry period - December 1 at 12:01 AM MT- December 7 at 11:59 PM MT - Drawing on Dec 8)

   • Dec. 15 - $5,000 (Entry period - December 8 at 12:01 AM MT- December 14 at 11:59 PM MT - Drawing on Dec 15)

   • Dec. 22 - $5,000 (Entry period - December 15 at 12:01 AM MT - December 21 at 11:59 PM MT - Drawing on Dec 22)

   • January 6, 2026 – Grand prize drawing $20,000 (Entry period - December 1 at 12:01 AM MT - Jan 5 at 11:59 PM MT - Drawing on Jan 6, 2026)

   All ticket entries will go towards the $20,000 grand prize drawing.

4. Drawing Method: Winners will be selected randomly, after drawing entry deadline. Winners will be announced within 10 business days of each drawing.

5. Odds of Winning: The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received for the drawing.

6. Winner Notification: Winners of each drawing will be notified via email through the Player’s Club.

7. Winner Claim Requirements: Winners must provide valid identification and complete a Player’s Club claim form, consistent with the standard Montana Lottery prize claim process. Player’s Club claim forms can be submitted by mail or in person at Montana Lottery headquarters. The Montana Lottery is not responsible for lost or stolen mail. Claims received more than six months after the drawing date will be rejected. If the Lottery cannot contact the winner within 7 days of the drawing, the prize is forfeited, and an alternate winner will be chosen.

8. Winners List: The Montana Lottery cannot publicly display a winner's picture or name without their consent. The Montana Lottery will maintain a list of winners for this drawing and may publish their towns or zip codes, and the amount won on the Montana Lottery website, social media, or other platforms.

9. Tax Withholding: The Montana Lottery is required to withhold state and federal taxes on certain prize amounts.

   1. For U.S. citizens providing a Social Security Number: 5.9% Montana state tax and 24% federal tax will be withheld from prizes exceeding $5,000.

   2. 24% federal tax will be withheld from prizes $600 and over for U.S. citizens who do not provide a Social Security number or tax identification number.

   3. 5.9% state tax will be withheld from all prizes greater than $5,000.

   4. For non-U.S. residents, 30% federal tax will be withheld from prizes of $600 or more.

   5. Winners of $600 or more will receive a W-2G form for tax filing purposes.
